Dr. Dayo Akindipe is a subsurface energy systems research scientist at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) leading projects on techno-economic modeling and analysis of geothermal energy, geologic hydrogen, and subsurface energy storage systems. With a background in chemical and petroleum engineering, his professional interests lie within the subsurface energy, water, and sustainability nexus. Prior to joining NREL, he worked in the oil and gas industry as an engineer, management consultant, and researcher on carbon emissions reduction and storage and energy market analysis projects.
